We took a two-hour boat ride to Santa Cruz. We could already see fish and baby reef sharks at the jetty, how cool! We walked to our accommodation, checked in and left the children there playing chess so we could quickly find another diving opportunity on the beach promenade for tomorrow. There were actually two places left and the children could be looked after by a nice woman named Linda. So we took Linda to the hotel to get to know each other. The children immediately liked Linda and so they were really looking forward to not having to go on the boat again tomorrow. The next morning we had to leave very early and had a lovely morning underwater. The children also had a great time. Not much happened in the afternoon. We decided to dive again the next day, this time with a different diving school where we didn't have to leave as early and the guides were more experienced. It was a really great dive and we were very inspired afterwards. Since the children didn't want to be picked up when we returned, we treated ourselves to a beer at a craft beer shop and waited until we could pick up the children. When we were finally allowed to go, we were greeted with chocolate fruit skewers and hand-painted Valentine's Day wishes. The children didn't want to leave Linda, but we had to pack for the next adventure. Tomorrow we went on a cruise ship for seven days. To do this we had to take a taxi to the ferry in the morning and then take the bus to the airport. We were supposed to be picked up there the next day. In the evening we went out to eat again, this time where many restaurants next to each other offered freshly caught fish.
