Surfing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ที่ตีพิมพ์: 05.12.2017

On Wednesday, our third day on Phillip Island, I actually had my first surf lesson. I only received the confirmation one hour before the lesson started, so I was pretty excited - because I had already given up hope. Normally, you need at least 3 people and a maximum of 8 for a group lesson. But since there were only two of us, the lesson was not supposed to take place. However, one hour before the start, we received a call saying that the lesson would still take place, so we were very happy. When I arrived at the surf school, I was given a wetsuit, which I immediately put on. Then I met my teacher Simon and Maegan, the other student. Everyone told us how lucky we were that the lesson was happening because normally group lessons with only two people don't happen. But since the weather was so beautiful, they didn't want to let us leave the island without a surf lesson (so sweet!). After an initial introduction about the ocean in general and then about the beach where we would be surfing, our instructor gave us our surfboards, which we then took to the beach. First, we had to get used to the water, so we just walked in. After a few exercises on the surfboard in the sand, we went into the water - but first we just lay on the surfboard and learned to catch a wave. After that, we continued with dry exercises in the sand. This time we learned how to stand up on the board. Then we immediately went back into the water to practice standing up in the water. This went surprisingly well. Towards the end, our teacher took out his GoPro camera to take photos of both of us. When the staff at the surf shop found out, they were very surprised because he doesn't usually take photos during group lessons. So we were very lucky that the surf lesson took place with only two participants and that we even have photos with our surfboards.
Today I published a total of 3 posts because otherwise I can't keep up. It's worth taking a look - one about the Phillip Island trip with my Australian family, one about my first time swimming in Australia, and if you haven't read it yet, one about a national park that I visited with 4 boys (beautiful photos and views). It's worth it!!!! So make sure to read the posts ;)

naja, man bekommt den Eindruck, da war gar keine Zeit für Arbeit... Nur Fun.. nur lächelnde Gesichter, nur Glück. Irgendwas stimmt nicht. Aber es ist ja nicht mein Leben.
