Day 9 - Torres del Paine National Park

ที่ตีพิมพ์: 09.04.2024

(Almost) well-rested, we went to breakfast. There had been a few centimeters of fresh snow overnight, but the weather forecast for today's 17km hike to the next hut was very promising. At around 8:45 a.m. we set off in pairs, but this time with full backpacks, under clear skies and bright sunshine. Once again completely impressed by the endless landscape, the first few kilometers flew by pretty quickly and our legs were holding up well despite the exertion of the previous day.

The path led along the “Nordendskjöld Lake”, through small snow-covered forests, over some rocky hills and briefly even over the beach of the lake.

The last stretch was tough today too, but the goal was already in sight and we reached the hut after a sporty 5 hours. We were the first in the shared room, the hot shower and a hot tea in the dining room did us good despite the sun. Dinner and the welcome drink were again very tasty before we crawled into our sleeping bags early and could finally put our feet up.
