Day 15 and 16: all good things come to an end

I am already on my way back and as hotel and camping prices were going up, I decided to have some nights at Air bnb houses. I was staying with a nice Spanish couple in Torreblanca which is close to Castellon. A very small town with nothing in it, just a nice beach, which was already overcrowded when I came there about 9.30 in the morning. I started very late from Alicante, so I arrived there about 10pm. It was actually a good decision, as temperatures were going a bit down and it is nice to take the highway by night from Alicante to Torreblanca because you always have a wonderful view on the sea (and I could enjoy sunset on my motorbike :) )

Second stop for my tour was in Sitges, a small and nice town close to Barcelona, where I had my host Nuria, a Mexican girl waiting for me. I was very surprised when I saw the prices of the toll in this part of the highway ( I had to take the highway because I wanted to stay close to seaside). Even for motorbikes, as we are another category then cars etc., the toll is about 22 euro which is by far the most expensive one I had to pay til now.

Anyway, it really feels like the end of my tour. The last two destinations will be Barcelona and Girona and I am still not sure which way to pass in the Pyrenees. Might be another last minute decision.

Hallo meine Lieben

meine Reise neigt sich dem Ende zu und ich spüre es immer deutlicher. Von der Grenze zu Frankreich trennen mich jetzt nur noch Barcelona und Girona als meine letzte Etappe bevor es über die Pyrenäen zurück nach Paris geht.

Auf meinem Rückweg habe ich mich entschieden, ein paar Appartments über Airbnb zu finden ( also bei Leuten direkt in der Wohnung zu übernachten). Meine Nacht in Torreblanca habe ich bei einem spanischen Pärchen verbracht. Das Appartment war wirklich super, ein grosser Balkon zum Meer hin und absolute Ruhe, da es in Torreblanca nicht viel gibt ausser ein paar Häusern und dem Strand, der allerdings komplett überfüllt war am nächsten Morgen.

Die zweite Nacht war ich bei Nuria, einem mexikanischen Mädchen, in Sitges. Ebenfalls eine kleine Stadt, die schon sehr nah an Barcelona iegt. Ich war ziemlich erschrocken, wie hoch die Mautgebühren für diese Strecke waren (selbst für die Kategorie Motorrad, was etwa immer die Hälfte weniger ist, muss man über 20 EUro bezahlen, und es handelt sich dabei um eine Strecke von ca 100km Autobahn). Nuria hatte sich ie Zeit genommen, mir die Stadt zu zeigen und wir waren auch gemeinsam am Strand am späteren Nachmittag.  ES waren wirklich sehr angenehme Bekanntschaften und eigentlich ist es die bessere Variante zum übernachten (im Vergleich zum Hotel). Ich melde mich aus Barcelona wieder.
