13th December 2017 - we are taking off

8:55 PM, Wednesday 13th December. Departing from Düsseldorf on time!!!
After 6 hours of flight, we will have a layover in Abu Dhabi at 6:00 in the morning (local time in Bochum is 3:00 AM).
The body is confused for the first time, but full of adrenaline.
Continuing our flight to Sydney at 8:15 AM. We have 13 hours of flight ahead of us.
At some point, all sense of time is lost. We try to sleep, eat, watch movies, eat, sleep......

And finally, we are landing in Sydney on Friday morning at 6:15 AM (Bochum time is Thursday 8:15 PM).
We pass through immigration quickly and by 8:30 AM, we are in our apartment. And it's true what they say, the people here are friendly, attentive, and open. Even at immigration, there is a smiling face making jokes. On the way to the apartment, we had the city map in hand for only a short time before a passerby stops next to us and asks: are you lost, may I help?
