In the morning it's pouring down, but a hot shower comforts us and we start towards Namaskaro, a geothermally active solfatar field glowing in yellow, orange, and brown tones, or slftrnfld, etc. Rising steam and hissing, gray-blue mud holes bubbling in front of us and spreading a smell of very rotten eggs - we are delighted!
The subsequent ascent to Namasfjall allows us to look over the entire region and marvel once again. Constantly taking photos is somehow silly but here you can't help it - all natural spectacles are on display in one place. Then off to the Myvatn Nature Bath, where we shrink in the nearly 40-degree warm water for hours and immerse ourselves in Icelandic bathing culture. Thoroughly shower naked. Wash EVERYTHING clean! And surprisingly, filming and posting each other is included. Every other person in the water has a mobile phone with them!?
