Treasures of Russian Museums

ที่ตีพิมพ์: 27.10.2019

On Wednesday, we had art class at school and painted small plates with typical Russian patterns and colors. Each one more beautiful than the other. Although there was a lot of cursing during the painting process because we didn't have the best brushes. Many beautiful colorful plates were created.

After school, we went to an art museum with our Russian friends. This special exhibition was called 'Treasures of Russian Museums' (Сокровища музеев России). It showcased many impressive paintings of Russian people and scenes from daily life in Russia at that time. The exhibition began with portraits from the 18th century and ended with scenes from the 20th century.

We saw the progression from icon painting to realism, impressionism, expressionism, and communist realism.

While exploring the exhibition, we also learned some new Russian vocabulary, such as Портрет (portrait), Натюрморт (still life), холст (canvas), масло (oil), and many more.

In addition to the paintings, there was a small section with tactile images for the visually impaired.

It was very exciting and thrilling.
