Right up front, let me say that the last major stage of our tour was the most beautiful for me. Yesterday's rain had cleared the air, it wasn't as hot anymore, and there wasn't a cloud in the sky in the morning. Perfect weather for cycling. Of course, it was still a constant up and down today, as the Swabian Alps are not flat terrain. The highest point of the entire tour, at about 860 meters, was also reached today. We also passed the 1000 km mark today. However, we had some trouble finding a suitable spot for our lunch break (we have certain requirements). So we kept on riding until we finally found two shady benches under large trees in a village. We had already covered nearly 70 km, and it was already 2:30 pm. We have booked ourselves for three nights in Singen. Tomorrow and the day after, we will go on excursions with lightweight luggage. Tomorrow, we will first go to Radolfzell and then to Konstanz. This will also be when we reach our final destination of our journey, Lake Constance.
