Besides the Columbia Bridge at Hood River all went well.
Nearly freaked out. Steel Bridge at least a mile long and 600feet above the river. The road is stahlgitter steel grate! Felt like zero friction between tires and surface. Swallowed the panic which tried to come up, looked straight forward and somehow I got over it.
Never ever again. Better 100mls detour.
Will meet Ralf tomorrow or latest Wednesday in Vancouver bc. I camp 70mls from the border.
Tried a backroadtour east of Mt. St Helen's. Passes still closed. 35mls each way in and back but great riding.

Karin _ did not know what was coming. As quite some times in the near past. That's part of this trip/ staying also mentally ready for whatever comes up. Actually I would go over it again. It worked _ so why not the next time again. Face your fears 😐💪
