At the end of June, Steffi's long-awaited break begins. What was launched as a solo project in 2019 has now turned into a family adventure.
In January 2020, just before the Corona lockdown, Robbie was purchased. The fact that Steffi had never driven a 7-meter long vehicle or even been on a camping vacation in her life didn't stop her from carrying out her plan. As she often says, "it will be fine. If I want it, it will work."
The big plan was to always stay along the coast, where it's warm, true to the motto "better to undress than to dress." France, Spain, Portugal, and Italy were good choices for this.
When Steffi met Cindy a little later, she didn't expect that the French woman with language talents (French, Spanish, and Portuguese by chance) would become her perfect travel companion, including interpreter. And it quickly became clear that her children would also be part of the adventure.
Originally, the plan was for the four of us to travel together. But the school decided against it, claiming that we didn't have a pedagogical education (funny, during the lockdown, our non-educational education was perfectly sufficient for homeschooling). After a short disappointment, we decided to look ahead: Cindy and the children will now accompany Steffi for the entire summer vacation, and she will handle the rest by herself.
The preparations are complete, the route is set, Robbie has been optimized (a little decoration here, a little decoration there), the campsites are booked, and the children have diligently practiced setting up the tent (exactly once in the garden). Theoretically, nothing can go wrong now, but in practice, things often turn out differently for us...
So now the project "through Europe in 100 days with Robbie and all our stuff" begins! On this wonderful journey with great experiences, impressions, and pictures, and probably also some setbacks, bad luck and mishaps, we want to take you along.
Enjoy the ride!
