After a hearty breakfast and a small gathering by the lake with our buddy dog, we freshened up and packed everything up to experience our next adventure. We didn't know where the wind would take us next. But what we did know: it will be beautiful ❤

With the best weather, we set off towards Langsua National Park. Our route unexpectedly took us through many highs and lows, through tunnels and over mountains, past lakes and through the forest, with rain and bright sunshine. Watching nature change as you drive more towards the north, amazed us during our last visit to this beautiful country.

Even more unexpected was a climb of about 1500 meters just before our destination, which could only be reached through tiny hairpin turns. Only one narrow road went up and down the same road again. No possibility to turn around in front of or behind us. On one side the huge mountain, on the other a deep abyss, with a rather low or no guardrail. It must be said, it was still a beautiful view.

Once at the top, nature shone in dreamlike autumn colors. Small, solitary houses covered in moss could be seen in untouched nature.

Also the road on which we were moving, probably hadn't seen any construction workers for the last 100 years. It seemed as if it had been built handcrafted by rough hands of Nordic men. Why everything looked so untouched beautiful became pretty clear to us very quickly.

We were now in the nature reserve and national park of Langsua.

Our stop was one of the small natural lakes, between the mountain top and the forest. These also offer a great opportunity to go fishing. Small smokehouses and fireplaces built into rocks allow you to enjoy your successful catch fresh.

After a nice walk over small bridges and through the autumnal nature, as well as intense inhalation of fresh air, we went to our sleeping place. This should be a quiet lake not far from the national park. So, with joy, down the mountain again, up the next mountain, with beautiful music, through small villages and beautiful landscape.

Well, easier said than done. There we stood, in the middle of another mountain, in front of a barrier. The day was slowly coming to an end and the Norwegians don't seem to offer any detour options like you would know from the busy Germany.

After a short reset, we decided on the next campsite. It was located directly on a river with a big mountain as a view. Coincidentally, the owners of the place are also very nice Germans who have been living in Norway for 45 years. That made the check-in process much more sympathetic and uncomplicated for us.

Arriving at our pitch, we took a walk along the dyke with Buddy and then made ourselves comfortable in our bus with some warm food and a string of lights ❤
