The morning is quite fresh, but the sun quickly shows its effect and so we have breakfast in front of the camper. We have a site with power connection for the kettle and toaster, and we also have a large gas bottle for barbecuing or cooking. Since we are driving over 350 km today, I will also take over part of the driving. On the 2-lane "Hume Highway" you are allowed to drive 110 km and I can overtake many trucks, otherwise there is little traffic. On the so-called "highway" there is a bike lane here in Australia - we saw a cyclist on the route. And every now and then you can turn right over the 2-lane oncoming lane. Fortunately, there is never much traffic on these roads. On the way to Gundagai, we pass many meadows and fields, and we see a wind farm again. The lush green from yesterday is suddenly gone and we haven't seen it anywhere else either. We stop at a beautiful lookout spot before heading to Lake Hume Village. The lake is beautifully situated. We get a beautiful spot with a lake view. The caretaker tells us that unfortunately the lake is only 50% full and the lake is an important water reservoir for drinking water in the region. The campsite has a large pool and since the temperature has now reached 36 °C, we refresh ourselves there. However, Micha is determined to test the lake and swims in the refreshing cold water. We still get to see a romantic sunset and it is still 28 °C. Little rabbits hop around the facility and after dark we see possums again. When we "check in", everyone always says Wi-Fi is available and we get the code, but as today, it often doesn't work, so unfortunately no news can be sent.
