Today my adventure in Norway ends. At noon, I boarded the ferry to Kiel, which departs from the Oslo harbor, which is very close to the city center.
Although my room didn't have a window, I still appreciated having a bed, a shower, and a toilet all to myself, and internet access. Showering was interesting because it would occasionally sway and I would be thrown against the walls.
Since Wednesday, Norway has opened its borders. I see many Danes and Germans driving around. You can tell that I've been in this country for a while because I see them as tourists, not myself. Especially now that there are real tourists again (not just Norwegians), I try to speak only Norwegian to show that I'm not a tourist. And if I didn't have a German license plate, I might even pass as a Norwegian. They have no problem asking me for directions because I look like a local... (happened in Stavanger). And when I wanted to board the ferry, the man explained everything to me in Norwegian without hesitating, even though it was obvious that I was driving a German car and had filled everything out in English.
