Remuera

We continue to work through our to-do list until the end of the day when we settle down at a free camping site by a river in Port Albert near Wellsford.

But then we encounter a new obstacle, as we were unable to connect the gas for the cooker even with the help of other campers. However, another man notices our hopeless situation and easily connects the gas. He has saved our evening meal - rice with vegetables! In the evening, we walk along the nearby jetty, and Eileen and Nicola spend their first night in our rooftop tent overlooking the river.
