Who finds the crocodile? (Day 173 of the world trip)

The night wasn't great because someone decided to play loud music under our window in the middle of the night -.-

Today was supposed to be another rest day and for the first time, the mood wasn't very good. This doing nothing is exhausting :p :D :D

I know, these are luxury problems, but well. It's frustrating to be stuck inside. Others may enjoy it, but Jonas and I don't really like it that much^^

So to do something besides shopping, we checked if there's a park in Chetumal and indeed - just 10 minutes away, right next to the airport, there's a small park <3

The park consists of trees with paths in between and besides bamboo huts and a lagoon where supposedly there are crocodiles (people were standing there trying to spot them but we didn't see anything :p), there was also a pool with turtles <33

There are also a few "sports equipment" and a few information boards about the rubber tree, which is harvested here. Most of it was in Spanish, but there were also a few English boards and Jonas read a few of them.

I was busy swatting away the mosquitoes, of which there were quite a few thanks to the lagoon :D

Overall, the park is quite inviting and has some really beautiful spots :) Jonas also got his fill of ants again, which he likes to observe and even take photos of ;-)

In the afternoon, we went shopping again (yes, again, I know :D) and soon there will only be dinner and a shower.

Well, you can tell, the posts are significantly shorter, but well. Not much is happening at the moment. But we're making the best of it and always find something that makes the day interesting or great. Tomorrow we'll probably go back to Bacalar - you can ALWAYS look forward to that <3
