Day 6 - Trollhättan

08/10/2019. Today we headed from Strömstad towards Lake Vänern. In Trollhättan, we arrived just in time to take part in a guided tour of the Olidan hydroelectric power plant. The tour (fortunately in English) was very informative and so clear that even younger children could understand how it works. After that, we took a look at the waterfall. Usually, the water is used by the power plant, but in the summer months, the lock gates are opened once a day and the dammed water flows down into the original valley. A real tourist spectacle.

Then we continued to Schloss Läckö. Spontaneously, we decided to spend the night at the campsite near the castle. An excellent decision. The pitches are scattered loosely in the forest, very quiet and relaxing. Definitely one of the best pitches on our journey 👑. We ended the day with a walk at the castle and by the water.
