Today I took a beautiful ferry ride to Parramatta. Svetlana gave me the tip yesterday. First, in the morning, I took the bus to Bondi Junction. Then I transferred to the train and went to Martin place, which is in the City. I tried that just in case I can't get a taxi tomorrow night.
So, now about the ride.
So, the Parramatter and the Lane Cover River are the rivers that flow into the sea here in Sydney, forming the large delta.
From Circular Quay, it's about 32 kilometers to the city of Parramatta by ferry. The river is navigable only up to that point. The ride takes about two hours. The ferry naturally stops at many piers, it's like taking a boat from Lindau to Konstanz on Lake Constance.
A wonderful landscape when this delta turns into a river in Sydney. Parramatter is not such a remarkable city, but that wasn't the point. The goal was actually the ride on the ship.
I returned at 5 p.m. At 7 p.m., the sun was once again shining so beautifully in the sky that I drove to Watson Bay to see a sunset, but as often happened in recent evenings, it got hazy over the mountains and the sun disappeared.
So, tomorrow is the big day for me. We call it News day Eve here
I will report, Roswitha
