🇺🇸 Memorial Day 🇺🇸

Нашр шудааст: 01.06.2021

Hey, ✌🏻

I'm a little late again, sorry for that...

We had Memorial Day at the ranch yesterday. Yeah, that's my excuse for why I didn't have time. 😉 A big open day where anyone could come and get to know the ranch better. ☺️ There were a lot of family-friendly activities, including horseback rides, pony rides, sawing competitions, axe throwing, climbing on the climbing wall, archery, confidence courses in the woods, face painting, and much more. 🙃

Then there was a man who made figures out of logs! In one picture, you can see a bear in its den! He did that in just a few minutes. 😂 There are already talented people!

Memorial Day is celebrated in the United States to remember the soldiers who gave their lives for their country.

Little recap of last week:

Last week we had a volunteer group here. They helped spruce up the ranch for Memorial Day and the upcoming summer camps. I also helped get the weeds out of the beds last Thursday. 👩🏻‍🌾

On Friday night, I went to the park in Corry with some students to play some frisbee and volleyball. When I tried to catch the frisbee, I accidentally hit it in my own face. 🥏😉 I guess I didn't grab it properly. But nothing bad happened, it was just a bit reddish under my eye.

On Saturday, we helped out in the kitchen. The kitchen needed, if I remember correctly, 350 pounds of potatoes to be peeled with a machine. Yes, around 158 kg of potatoes or even three big bags. 😅 The plan was to make potato salad for the open house as lunch. After peeling, we spent the whole afternoon cutting potatoes into cubes. My fingers hurt at the end, but the potato salad was good! 👍🏻

My consulting family has goats at home and the kids were born last week! They are so cute! 😍 There's also a little puppy update: the puppies are growing so fast, it's amazing. 😅 Their eyes are already open now and they can already walk a little bit. 😄 The other baby animals are growing so fast too.

I don't know if I already mentioned the date, but on June 13th, the staff training starts. After that, we have the summer camps. I will be very busy... 🤫

It's already June! Where did the time go? I can't believe it... Everything is rushing by me. One day after the other passes, and when I look back, I realize how much I have already experienced and learned. 😯

Now, I'll enjoy my evening and the next two weeks. 🤣

Until next week. :)
