Bears and Yellowstone

Today also started the day just wonderful 😀 glorious weather, clear view of the mountains and we started at 8 o'clock towards Yellowstone. The park is right next door, the road leads through an area where drivers are asked to drive particularly slowly because of bears on the road. We had driven through there at least twice a day in the last few days, no trace of bears. Today we saw 6!! 2 mother bears, 4 cubs. We saw the first 3, but couldn't take any more photos of them.

You can also see the following 3 here. Based on the body structure, we assume they are grizzly bears. We are not absolutely sure, but there are many indications, especially the color and the hump on the neck. It's just great to see these animals in the wild. Of course, there was chaos on the road, everyone stopped and parked all over the place. But the rangers, who are always on site immediately during such events, also make sure that no one gets too close to the animals.

We were lucky enough to witness the eruption of Old Faithful twice. The colorful pools are also unique. Unfortunately, my camera can't capture everything. I took some photos with a color enhancer, that's why the colors are so vibrant.

If you haven't seen a bison, then you haven't really been to Yellowstone. They are really running around everywhere here. Because of the special features of the landscape, you lose a bit of sight for the "normal" beauty of the park. Lakes, forests, snow-capped mountains, there is an abundance of all these!
