14.03.19 - Rottnest Island

After arriving in Perth yesterday, I didn't have much time to settle into the hostel. Two girls were waiting for me, with whom I want to do a road trip to the south in the next few days. That's why I went to the same hostel as the two of them... I didn't have much time, then we went together to a movie night in the same neighborhood. Films from different countries are shown in one place.... And by chance, it was Germany's turn that evening. And Goodbye Lenin was shown 😅

After that, I went to bed because I was still in a different time zone... Perth is 3 hours behind Melbourne.

But I was up early the next morning. That was quite handy because I wanted to go on a day trip to Rottnest Island with the girls. We had to be at the ferry by 10am... We also rented bicycles there to get around the island. But unfortunately, the bicycles weren't very good. There were damn many small hills where I had to struggle a lot 🙄😜

But I was rewarded with incredibly beautiful beaches and coastlines... The island is also full of small Quokkas 😍 They were so trustful that they came to me and let themselves be stroked... Also, you could take great selfies with them 😬
