At 8:00 am, we cleared the couch and set out into the streets of Auckland. In the next street, we discovered our first breakfast location - Subway. Something new for a change.Afterwards, we decided to tackle the bureaucracy and started our first major hike to Grey Lynn - only to find out that we couldn't get an appointment until next week. At least the weather was nice and we got to see a lot of Auckland. Along the way, we got our New Zealand SIM cards and Piet treated himself to a new phone. My phone didn't immediately accept the card, so I had my oversized background image in front of me for about half an hour. A huge expense of my best friends and me. :D Later in the hostel, we met some people who gave us a few tips on what we absolutely had to see and regarding work and buying a car. We ended the evening with one of the new acquaintances at the harbor. With the skyline behind us and the countless sailing ships in front of us. That's what life is about. And the best part: we had a bed for the night!
