On the 7th day in Peru, we visited a vineyard called Vineyard Pisco. That's where the national drink Pisco Sour comes from. We took a tour where they showed us how grapes used to be stomped with feet, how they are pressed, and how the grape juice is stored in clay jars to ferment. After that, we went to the distillery to make the high-proof Pisco Sour.
After the tour, we had a small tasting of the Pisco collection. Being clever, we got ourselves 2 cups to try twice as much ;)
Back in Huacachina, we continued on to Arequipa. On the way, we made a stop at the Nazca Lines to view them from a tower. It was pretty cool, even though we imagined the line drawings to be much larger.
To save time, we traveled through the night on the bus and arrived at our hostel in Arequipa around 5:30 in the morning.
End of Day 7.
