Hi guys,
Today I'm writing the blog not too late as I have to go to bed early tonight.
Tomorrow we have the "Tongariro Alpine Crossing" planned.
A 7.5-hour hike through a mountain range at an altitude of about 1800m!
We are well equipped now with hiking shoes, warm clothes, hiking pants, hiking gloves, and everything else!
So we are confident that we can complete the hike without any problems. Of course, we have also read about tips and requirements and we are "well prepared" in that regard as well!
Today, we visited the "Huka Falls", an outlet of Lake Taupo.
It was simply amazing! I have never seen such amazing colors in the water of a waterfall!
20000 liters of water per second were shooting down the waterfall, which looked really huge!
It was by far the most beautiful waterfall we have seen here so far. The pictures attached speak more than 1000 words!
Now we are heading towards the mountain to a campground, from where we will start our hike tomorrow at 6:30 am.
I am thrilled because you can already see the mountain range from the "Lake Taupo" and it looks absolutely gigantic!
Greetings from Taupō, New Zealand!🇳🇿
Yours, Tim!😊
