Our worst day started somewhat normal.
After waking up and barely eating anything, we made our way to the train station to buy tickets for the return journey. After that, we planned to go to Paddington and take the train from there to Bath.
After booking our tickets and having our first proper meal, burritos, the disaster began.
Arriving at Paddington, we found out that there were strikes all over England, so only one train was going to Bath. But even that had only a 50/50 chance of coming. Completely annoyed, we then went to Victoria Station, where a bus to Bath was supposed to leave from. On the way there, Colin was already extremely annoyed and wanted to give up, but since we had booked a room in Bath, he kept going. When we arrived at the buses, we found out that the buses were running, but the only one with available seats was not leaving until 8 p.m. and we would only arrive in Bath at 11 p.m. We quickly decided to go back to Paddington and try the train. On the way there, in the train, Colin started crying and wanted to give up everything (It should be mentioned that we were really exhausted) and then we agreed that we would try the train and if it came, Colin would continue to Bath and think from there, and if it didn't come, I would travel back with him.
After sprinting with backpacks to the train and barely catching it, we had to sit on the floor in a crowded train until we got seats.
Arriving in Bath, we had to hike up a hill with backpacks to the hostel, where we arrived completely exhausted.
At that point, we had agreed that we would continue with Bath and the next few days. Whether we would still do a tour in Scotland, Colin had to decide if he wants to or is able to.
When we arrived in the evening, we decided to go out for dinner at a Greek family restaurant. There, I had the best fish of my life and the dessert was also top-notch. All in all, it was an expensive but incredibly relaxing and beautiful evening. The tension of the rest of the day was almost gone.
