From Eresing to Dießen am Ammersee

14.8.19 - under a Bavarian blue sky and sunshine, I start today's section to Lake Ammersee.

First, I have to cross the 'hiking obstacle' A96 motorway. It's not that easy to find a way that doesn't lead along a road for too long. Once this hurdle is overcome, the path becomes much more enjoyable. Through gentle hills, past picturesque villages, I reach Lake Ammersee.

Here, right by the crystal clear water, it's good to take a break and stretch my legs. The water immediately has a relaxing effect, radiating a deep calm. There is hardly any wind and there are only a few ships passing by.

After the refreshing break, I continue along the lake towards the south. The lake is rarely directly accessible. It is unmistakably where people with money reside. However, the houses are mostly harmoniously integrated into the landscape with lots of greenery. Then I reach Dießen, my destination for today.

..and then there will be a day of hiking break at the lake. On Friday, I will continue!

The insight of the day: A beautiful landscape and surroundings always have an effect on well-being. Despite the good 20 km at the end of the day, I feel quite refreshed.
