28.08.2024 Grasmere to Patterdale

How could a beautiful hiking day in the North of England start better? Of course, with rain… more rain… I can’t see any more rain… But thanks to the lifesaving purchase of new hiking boots in Grasmere, at least my feet stayed dry today. The rest of my body, however, did not. Nevertheless, the landscape was stunning. Waterfalls and streams that could be easily crossed thanks to laid stones and properly built bridges. Where else can you see something like that? We also passed by a lovely lake called Red Tarn. However, we really saw it only when we were almost standing in it. It was so foggy up there🤣. But that also made it somehow mystical and special! By the way, the sun came out as soon as we finished our hiking day. We hope it will stick around for the next few days.
