We drove to a deserted village near Venice to relax on the beach. The weather kept getting better and we spent 2 pleasant and quiet nights alone at the campsite.
After that, we drove to Ravenna, a medium-sized city famous for its mosaic basilica. We didn't visit the basilica itself, but the city had other great spots to offer. There was hustle and bustle in the city, with music playing, and we strolled through the streets. We walked for 10 minutes until our motorhome parking space. (2.25€ for 24 hours) The night was very quiet, as many others in Italy are. Maybe it's currently quiet because of the curfew. We'll see what awaits us from June 7th, because that's when the curfew is lifted.
Then we drove on to Rimini in the afternoon to a pitch (without toilet/shower) for 13€ per night. The picture shows that we are always the smallest ones everywhere. We arrived here on Sunday and walked to the beach. Crowds of people... the beaches were overcrowded. The bars were full. We thought, if it's already so busy now, what will it be like in summer? Everything is geared towards tourists. Huge hotel complexes as far as the eye can see. Quite the opposite of the small old town. It was very pleasant here, we were lucky and there was an antiques market to browse through. There was a large park with a lake outside the old town where you could relax.
The next day, we went to the beach again, it was like deserted on Monday. We went to a public beach and relaxed in the sun. In the afternoon, we strolled along the promenade, where I treated myself to a cool pair of sunglasses. The 2 nights were also very pleasant for sleeping.
The next morning, we took the highway to Tuscany. To Florence.
