Back to Miami

Then we flew back to Miami from Santiago de los Caballeros on February 11th. We quickly booked the Adventure of the Seas there. It was transferred to Puerto Rico after the dry dock. Our next cruise was supposed to go from there anyway. So we decided to spend the week that we had left early from the Dom Rep on the ship. There was an overnight stay in Miami. In an airport hotel. The planes were already flying very low over the hotel :-) The next day we went on the Adventure. The cruise lasted only 5 days. St. Thomas and St. Maarten were the ports we visited. On February 17th, we arrived in San Juan, Puerto Rico. From there, the next planned trip was supposed to start the next day. So we needed a hotel room. We had already booked one, but that would turn out to be an 'adventure'.

We took a taxi to the hotel. The gentleman at the reception took us to the room. It was a room about 3x3 meters in size.

In this room there was a king size bed measuring 2x2 meters. The room had no window. There was no place to put a suitcase, the space was just enough to get to the bathroom.

Unfortunately, we had no other choice, so we closed our eyes and went with it.

However, I found the bill of $220 the next day to be outrageous. So please do not book 'My Hotel' in San Juan.

On February 18th, we went on the Jewel of the Seas.
