Rest day 2 - Rain, wrong decision and reconciliation

The view from our window this morning was very sobering: everything outside was grey, it was raining constantly and it was really cold. Since Martin had also caught a cold, we decided to take another day off. After packing our backpacks, we went to the café/bistro opposite our accommodation and made ourselves comfortable. After all, we had four hours to get by until the next bus left. Suddenly the rain stopped and the sun came out... and we began to regret our decision. Then the next shower came and we were happy again... and so it went on.

In the afternoon the sun finally came out and after arriving at our next destination, Salema, we walked over the cliffs and then sat for ages in a small, sheltered bay, watching the waves come and go and enjoying the warm sun. That reconciled us a little with Portugal and our vacation.

There was also a culinary highlight today. We chose a whole fish in the restaurant this evening and had it grilled. Delicious 😋
