Embracing Karri trees & stroking stingrays (via Pemberton to Hamelin Bay)

After getting up, we take a walk along the Fernhook Falls or along the rocks over which the water flowed before the drought and enjoy the peace and seclusion.

Our first destination is Gloucester National Park near Pemberton. There we walk through the magnificent Karri forest. Already the road there leads through beautiful forest areas with tall Karri trees (giant eucalyptus trees) for long distances. The top attraction of the park is the Gloucester Tree, a powerful Karri tree with a fire lookout platform in its crown. You can climb up if you're not afraid of heights. So it's not for us. Along the walking trail, there are numerous beautiful trees, I could hug them all!

Afterwards, we continue to Hamelin Bay. Barely arrived at the beach, a seal swims by right away, fantastic. But the special feature of this bay are the stingrays that can be found here in the shallow seawater. With a little patience and courage, you can even stroke the animals. A slightly slippery experience, but fascinating! If you continue walking along the beach, you come across bizarre cliffs, here you could take pictures to death.

In the evening, we arrive at the Big Valley Campsite, which is integrated into an actively operated farm. Sheep everywhere. When we arrived, 12 cute chicks crossed our path. We could stay here longer.
