Off to Brisbane - Australia Zoo

Нашр шудааст: 26.07.2017

Today, on our way to Brisbane, we made a stop at Australia Zoo. This place was recommended to us by several people. And since we haven't seen many typical Australian animals so far, we thought this was a must-visit.

The admission prices were quite high, so we had high expectations.

Steve Irwin built the zoo. He is a big personality in Australia. Even as a young boy, he helped his father relocate crocodiles. Since then, he has made many wildlife films and has been a strong advocate for the conservation of certain species. He was particularly known for his work with crocodiles and became famous through his series "crocodile hunter". Sadly, he died during a film shoot at the Great Barrier Reef, pierced by the spine of a stingray, at the age of 44. I was very impressed by the great photographs of his son, Robert, of wild animals and natural landscapes. And his son is only 14 years old.

I really liked the zoo. There were various shows - with otters, where we learned how clever these little animals are - with crocodiles, which could grow up to 5 meters long and weigh 1000 kg, and we got to experience koalas and kangaroos up close.

The zoo had a huge area - some animals were on an island and in a treehouse - it was very well done! Now we are in Brisbane! We ended up in a backpacker and believe it or not, I miss our camper! I somehow got used to it and sometimes it was quite nice that we were forced to be close together ☺️!

I'm starting to feel a sense of farewell, quickly dismiss it - don't think about it and just keep enjoying. Let's see what Brisbane is like tomorrow in daylight! The journey here was partially on a 3-lane road - totally unusual 😂!

Good night to all of you!!!
