Escape to Kaikoura

After three days of continuous rain, we decided to switch from the west coast to the east coast. SURPRISINGLY, it rained yesterday when we arrived.....ta-dahhhhh -_- The car ride was a bit adventurous, as we (.....super prepared as always...) got caught in a hailstorm, the temperature dropped to 1 degree, and it started snowing. A bit too adventurous for me to cruise through the Alps with summer tires :D

But we're alive and when we woke up today, we were rewarded with an incredible view of the Alps right outside the door and the sea on the other side.....what more could you want?
