Patrick has found a new and better company, Al's Panel Beating Shop. There is a lift, a body alignment bench, and plenty of tools, just like in Germany. There are 15 bodybuilders and painters working there, and they do their work properly. Padi is responsible for professionally detailing vehicles and performing bodywork. In the meantime, we have learned that the workshops at Thrifty (Padi's former employer) have a pretty bad reputation, which Padi can confirm.
I am still working for Ross (a former football pro) who broke his neck during a football game 17 years ago. The work is quite unusual for me. I help Ross with everything. I prepare or buy him breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I help him brush his teeth, shave (a bald head), shower, give him pills, and everything else. Every day I put him in a wheelchair and we do something, like shopping, going to the beach, or to the pool. We also do daily training - upper body with a long barbell and legs with machines that I attach and use electrical stimulation to move the muscles. In addition, a daily massage/stretching is necessary to keep everything moving.
Since I have never cared for another person before, everything was new to me. But I am glad that I have Ross (and the job) and that I can learn so many new things. Ross is a wonderful and very lively person - we have a lot of fun together!
