#14: A day for making plans

The day starts early, as is customary here in Chiang Mai, but doesn't really get going. On the one hand, yesterday's hike is still weighing on us, and on the other hand, we urgently need to plan the next steps of our journey, as we have only booked the hostel until Friday.

There are various scenarios to choose from for the rest of our journey, such as extending our stay in Chiang Mai, traveling south, or saying goodbye to Thailand and continuing our journey to Cambodia or Vietnam. Since there is still so much to see in the north and we really like it here, after hours of research and deliberation, we decide to extend our stay here until 05/02 by five days. Unfortunately, we have to move to a different hostel, as our current one is fully booked.

On 05/02, we will temporarily leave Thailand and take a close look at Cambodia. Our first stop will be Siem Reap, from where we will explore the Ankor temples and the interior of the country. With that, we have finally reached our goal for the day and organized accommodations and transportation for the next two weeks. Now we can devote ourselves fully to Chiang Mai again tomorrow and continue our exploration tours.

In the late afternoon, we take another leisurely stroll through the city and have a nice meal again. From then on, we will relax on the balcony.
