Monkey Island, which is located near Ho Chi Minh City, is best reached by car via a ferry. Once you arrive there, you can see the little animals hopping around everywhere that this island is named after. We took a boat tour on the small river there. At the stops, you can walk through the swamp on a wooden walkway and visit individual huts with figures depicting the life of soldiers during wartime. This location was chosen for the troops because the swamp prevents the bombs from exploding and protects the soldiers. After the boat ride, we went to a small pond where you could feed crocodiles, which was really scary but also fun. It is very important to be cautious of the monkeys. We didn't want to believe it, but they are little rascals who especially target glasses, hats, or phones, which they can quickly snatch away and then sit at a safe distance and chew on them. Fortunately, in our case, the caretaker was able to persuade the monkey with food to return Huy's glasses. But at the end of this trip, we definitely had enough of these animals!🐒
