Bangkok 2.0

The second day in Bangkok was very relaxing. First, we visited Chinatown and had delicious Thai food again.

The smells at the street markets were very unique, you really have to get used to them. Very intense and sometimes disgusting, as the vendors offer their goods without any refrigeration. That means the fresh fish is just laying there on the tables.

Afterwards, we went to a beautiful park and rested for a while

When it was time to leave, we said goodbye to some of the group and the rest of us took a local boat back to the hostel. That was an adventure! It was going quite fast and the water was splashing high. But it was a cheap and fast way to get to our destination.

When we arrived at the hostel, we got ready for our hostel change. My 30-day Southeast Asia tour was starting that evening and Henni was moving to the city center. We said goodbye to Marina and walked to the Skytrain.

We arrived at the hostel and the other tour members were already there and told me that they were going to grab something to eat. I just dropped off my backpack and went with them. The way there was across a pretty busy road. The traffic here is immense and you really have to be careful when crossing the streets.

After that, I just fell into bed.
