Climbing adventure on the highest mountain in Montenegro

வெளியிடப்பட்டது: 22.08.2018

Heading south, across the border into Montenegro. It looks similarly wild here. Many mountains, valleys, rivers. The Tara River offers adrenaline enthusiasts the opportunity for rafting or zip-lining.

The tent will be set up shortly in Durmitor National Park, and the greeting will be sealed with a shot of schnapps. The Black Lake, which is nearby, is fantastic. Even though it rained during the time, its colors and the silence it exudes were very prominent.

You can't miss climbing the highest mountain in Montenegro, so off to Bobotov Kuk with its 2,523 m. The hike with some climbing spots was really challenging, especially when it rained a bit from above. But the effort was rewarded with a breathtaking view.

The next destination was the Bay of Kotor. It offers refuge to many tourists. The drive around the bay (coastline of over 100 km) is like a single promenade of restaurants, hotels, vacation rentals, bars, and beaches. In Kotor itself, a historic and charming old town with narrow alleyways, it is also lively. The cruise ships that dock daily temporarily release the tourists from the belly of the huge ships, who then move through the streets marked as a tour group.

A boat trip in the bay is a must, so we went to the small monastery island and then to sleepy Perast.
