Tag 5 - Limena, Ancient round to theater, ruins, temples, summit, hiking and Ancient Aliki with subsequent meal by the sea - 07/08/2020

Slept in the uncomfortable (too short) bed.

Prepared a frappe for Eve and me, then made breakfast.

We had scrambled eggs with rigani (oregano) and bread.

After that, got ready and started to Limena.

Arrived there and looked for a parking space, then made our way to the Ancient Theater (which is closed due to restoration work), from there to the castle ruins and the ancient site, which never ceases to amaze me. How did they manage to bring those huge stone blocks up there and then lay them so precisely in the water (to make it even)?

Above all, it still stands today as good as it did back then.

Then we took a short detour to the flag at the highest point of this mountain range above the city.

Took some pictures there.

This time we took the descent on the back side and enjoyed this route.

In Limena, we strolled a bit along the shopping street, had some drinks, and started our way back.

After a short break in the accommodation, we visited the archaeological site of Aliki, as well as the former marble quarry. It's really fascinating.

At the end of the round, we ended up once again at our former favorite tavern: Leonidas.

We had some drinks and had our dinner there.

After that, back to the accommodation, letting the evening fade away.
