My last six months in Australia had begun. On Monday I got a few things done, met up with Elliott on the beach and in the evening we went out for something to eat.
On Tuesday I went to Sydney. Unfortunately my flight was delayed by 4 hours, so I had to spend half the day at the airport. In the evening I went into the city a bit towards the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.
On Wednesday morning we set off on the return journey via Guangzhou and Shenyang to Frankfurt and finally back to Vollmaringen.
After 205 days, almost 71,000km and 4 countries, I can say that the trip was more than worth it. I got to know lots of new friends from different parts of the world. My absolute highlight? I would say the whole trip with all its facets.
Above all, the openness and hospitality of the Australians is something I remember particularly positively. The country, or rather the continent of extremes, has something for everyone and everything, be it the countless national parks, the expansive beaches, the outback, the various islands or the wildlife. And yes, the most dangerous animals in the world live here, but that shouldn't be a reason not to visit the country & who wants to miss out on jumping kangaroos and koalas?
New Zealand offers a spectacular landscape with its countless lakes, waterfalls and mountains. However, towards the end of summer it is far too cold at night for camping.
Fiji is similar to the Caribbean and with its tropical weather and crystal clear sea it is a great island state to relax in. By the way, I now know how to easily open a coconut in just a minute.
Bali, where I was two years ago, is also known for its hospitality. I met old friends there and spent most of my time surfing.
A huge thank you to my family who has always supported me and of course thanks to everyone who has read my blog!
First of all, I have to earn money and who knows where the next trip will take me.
