Sunday (8.4) was also exciting! We got up and made coffee with the coffee machine, what a luxury! The 3 of them then picked us up and we drove to Iderlan's father's property. Everything really grows there! :D Iderlan picked fresh bananas from the tree, he picked fresh coconuts from the tree, harvested sugarcane, and we ate everything on the spot. Wonderful!
There are lettuce, chives, parsley, mangoes, pineapples, tomatoes, etc. growing there. :D
And P.S. Iderlan: if you're reading this, there are also many "ants" there :D
Afterwards, we went to João Paulo's house. He can speak English because he lived in Australia for 1 year. We talked and his mom made fries for us. Then he showed us everything. His sunflowers and the chickens. We helped collect the eggs. There were 19 of them :D Then we looked at the goats. At the next house, we looked at the bees and tried fresh honey. Delicious!! We also processed the sugarcane into juice using a machine. Then we fed little capuchin monkeys with milk :D They were so cute and they always come to this house to get fresh milk. Afterwards, the owner showed us his homemade fishing weapons and he even had a homemade bow and arrow. We were allowed to try shooting with a blank cartridge gun. I even hit it once :D
Afterwards, we went back to Marie Theresa's house for lunch and it was delicious again. She and her mother constantly urged us to take more. We ate until we almost burst :D Then we had a 30-minute break and drove to the lake to fool around a bit. On the way there, we actually saw a gigantic tarantula. That was so disgusting and the thought that they just creep around here drives you crazy :D
As a cool-down, we went back to João Paulo's house and jumped into the pool. We played ball and billiards and had delicious corn on the cob and warm cheese with orange sauce, and then fries again :D We were constantly just eating. In the evening, we went home, freshened up, sat outside for a while, chatted, and then fell into bed after such an exciting day.
