We start in Wellington at 6:00 in the morning, as we wake up due to noise. The weather is again "meh". We drive to the West Coast and have breakfast by the sea again.
Since we got the tip from a kiwi yesterday to drive to Hawke Bay and the peninsula in front of Gisborne, we decide to take this route as there is supposed to be thunderstorms in Tongarino National Park today.
The area is rather boring and characterized by agriculture.
But the weather is better there for now. We explore Napier.
Napier was completely rebuilt after an earthquake in 1931 and is characterized by its many Art Deco buildings.
We find a nice parking spot right by the beach.
But the wind is quite strong again, so it's not possible to sit outside in the evening.
