On August 6, 2018, it finally started. Adventure, here we come! First stop was Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. A typical Asian metropolis, I would say. Lots of people, lots of traffic, noisy and bustling. We had already booked the hotel in Germany. It was located pretty much in the heart of KL in 'little india'. A perfect starting point for 3 days of sightseeing. On the first evening, we immediately walked to the Petronas Towers, the city's most famous landmark. They look impressive :) and the first beer was not far away. We definitely deserved it after about 20 hours of travel. After that, we fell straight into bed. I asked, should we set the alarm clock? Nah, let's make a bet. I think we woke up around 12 o'clock :))) We really needed the sleep. After that, we headed back towards the Petronas Towers. Behind them, there's a beautiful park, completely peaceful. With a lake and many benches - really nicely done. And so quiet, you wouldn't think you're right in KL. We strolled through various streets, had some food and drinks. In the evening, we went to the 'bar mile'. There, we treated ourselves to our first Mojito. Yeah, that's how we roll :) The next day, we tried to find the botanical garden and yes, we found it. Took a few detours, left right left back - okay, can't go there - can't go through here. Buuuut the journey is known to be the destination and without giving too much away, that won't be the last time :) The botanical garden was really beautiful and wonderfully peaceful again. We're not really city people. In the evening, we strolled along Petailing street. There are many small food stalls and even more hustle and bustle :) It was delicious. On the last day, we went to the central market, another famous street market. Fresh mango and watermelon for breakfast. And there, by chance, we found such a lovely café. At 2 o'clock, it was time to head to the airport and the feeling that it's really starting now. Sumatra, here we come!
