Helloooooo everyone
Our day today was completely different from the previous ones, namely: quite planned ☺️
We left around 10:30 am towards the via ferrata. But before reaching it, there was a little over two hours of driving - luckily in the right direction for us ☺️
Everything went perfectly and as planned, we were able to start at 1:10 pm.
The approach to the via ferrata took about 30 minutes and it was already an amazing experience! The path led along a steep wall, which was filled with various climbing routes, past great views, over rocks that had to be abseiled on the back side with a fixed rope, and through tall plants... A real adventure ☺️
The via ferrata itself was really great! The evaluation of the via ferrata corresponded to the same standard as in Switzerland and the safety, as well as the construction of the via ferrata, were really top-notch! However, unlike the Swiss via ferratas, it was much more about width than height - logical with a summit height of 390 meters 😂.
As described, the crux was right at the start: a not really short, overhanging traverse.
After that, the via ferrata became significantly easier, but still no less varied.
The "summit" rewarded us with a fantastic view, which tempted us to take a longer break with snacks. We left an entry in the "summit book" and started the short but challenging descent.
Back in the motorhome, we quickly checked the time again and realized that we were much faster than calculated.
Along the way, Kevin found a spot right next to a lake. It was indescribable, simply absolutely perfect! Right by the water, flat ground, with a fire pit (!), beautiful view, surrounded by bike trails and: SOLITUDE!
How much we would have given to stay just one more night...
Well, what could we do? Out with the chairs and enjoy! ☺️
Meanwhile, two dogs fooled us... We thought they were strays because they were so shy and looked malnourished. So we gave them all the remaining dog food (about 10 sticks) and five sausages, they were happy and approached us more and more. Then, as it got dark, someone whistled and the dogs ran in their direction. We laughed about falling for two dogs and watched the sunset.
After a little over two hours, it was time: back to Porto Torres, onto the ferry, out of the motorhome and into bed.
Well, now our beautiful week is unfortunately over already and real life is calling. But the next break is not too far away! ☺️
In December, we will travel again for several weeks with the backpacks to Asia 😁
So, dear ones, thank you for following along and see you again soon! ☺️☀️🌴
