Abéné also means meeting the family and especially getting to know them first. Our nieces and nephews are happy to receive donated clothes. After a week of vacation, our work on the project started yesterday. There was great joy when Diak finally showed us everything he had implemented since our last educational exchange in kindergarten. With his endless patience and vivid pedagogy, he touched our hearts.
Today, we had an appointment at the hospital. There was so much information about the state of scarcity that it initially seemed very overwhelming. After three hours of exchange with the president of Abéné about his association and our work, there were great highlights and ideas for collaboration.
Afterwards, we had oranges from his garden and a little tour. The most amazing fruits... Sun-ripened and fresh...
In the afternoon, we spent time at the beach and trained for the marathon on December 29th. 🏃♀️
