On Sunday before New Year's Eve we started around 07:30. We left our home Desert Jekyll and gathered at Röschies' friends Stöckies, Knickies, Harry and Monique, Sonja and Medos etc.. :-) and then took a shuttle towards Walvis Bay. Once we arrived there, we boarded a medium-sized catamaran and set off for the Whale Bay. Our captain and tour guide was Ernst, an old sea dog who clearly had a lot of fun with us and we had fun with him. What a cool guy, a combination of Captain Bluebear and Dieter Thomas Heck! After fifteen minutes, we already saw the first dolphins. There's a dolphin, da da da... :-). And to combat the cool breeze, we had Namibian coffee, optionally with sherry or without coffee. The service was excellent. Afterwards, we arrived at the seal colony in the bay. You could already hear and smell them from a distance. Some seals even jumped onto our boat. The highlight was a Mori Mori (sunfish) that didn't try to avoid us. We had plenty of oysters and snacks for refreshments, and of course some fizzy water. 😁 It was a great tour and after three hours we were back in the harbor. I can highly recommend it. You can book it with Catamaran Charters Walvis Bay. Make sure Ernst is there! :-) The day ended at Stöckis' - thank you very much for that! 👍
