We stay two nights at the parking space in Porto Empedocle. It's a nice place and it's calm. Despite the clouds, it's pleasantly warm the next day. Unfortunately, Porto Empedocle doesn't offer much, after a long walk we have bread again. I walk home barefoot along the beach - in February! Just beautiful!
In the evening, we take a walk to the nearby Scala dei Turci. The white rock monument is a real attraction and many locals are also there. It's forbidden to enter, but no one seems to care; we also climb up and have a wonderful view.
Polly finds a black buddy on the way there, but after a while he becomes so pushy that Jürgen has to protect her.
We skip the excavations in Agrigento, it all looks similar. We'll do it next time. We're not sooo into cultural history.
Finding a place to stay for the night is more difficult than expected. The place near Castello di Folcanara doesn't seem to exist, the parking lot in the village is private and we don't know if they are weird. (In the past, we would have just stopped.... Sigh).
We go to Lido Panama Beach, which is completely closed in the summer but can be accessed now. We stay at a closed beach bar. Since today is Sunday, the Sicilians are out and about, but the spot looks good.
