Today the sun is shining again, but the wind is still strong. But it doesn't matter!
We continue towards Erice, enjoying beautiful views of the mountains and the sea. In Erice, we park in a parking lot indicated in the book, which we didn't need. The square in front of the town is empty, plenty of parking spaces. The medieval town with its stunning cobblestone streets feels deserted.
Almost nothing is open and even if it were, the wind is so icy that we don't even feel like having a coffee.
We drive through Trapani to the salt pans of San Leonardo. Across from them is the ancient city of Mòzia on an island. It is privately owned and can be visited, but not now. Everything is closed.
We find our nightspot in Birgi Novo, right by the water. There are plenty of kite spots and clubs here, indicating that it's always windy.
