December 26, 2021: Peñíscola
J. Like many local families, we took a trip to the nearby city of Peñiscola on the second day of Christmas. Except for Florian, no one seemed to make fun of the name of the city, and I can assure you that the name comes from the Latin word for peninsula, not from a body part or a beverage brand. The old part of the city consists of white houses with blue doors and shutters and is surrounded by a city wall on a peninsula. Along with the many festively dressed families, we strolled through this pretty little town with its narrow streets and magnificent views of the coast and the endless beach, enjoying the sun.
Day 72 - Total tour 4,657 km
