When we were leaving the Lofoten Islands heading toward Tromsø, we finally saw what Norway is also known for - reindeer!!! The ladies and gentlemen were grazing right by the road, and they didn't mind the constant flow of cars passing by. Now we are still waiting to maybe spot a moose somewhere. Hope dies last, as they say. After an overnight stay at a rest stop, we arrived at the Skittenelv campsite, about 25km away from Tromsø. The weather is turning out just like we expected it to be the whole time in Norway- rainy and cold. Well, cold for summer, around 10 degrees with wind and constant rain. We will stay here for 2 nights and take out the heater again. Luckily, it's only drizzling, so we explore the city center of Tromsø one afternoon. Tromsø is the eighth largest city in Norway with about 65,000 inhabitants. The city center is characterized by many small shops with souvenirs or typical Norwegian clothing, as well as many fish restaurants. The harbor offers a lot of boat tours and ferry trips. When we arrived, there were 2 cruise ships in the harbor. Soaked, we eventually make our way back and Rocky is quite grateful. This weather is still somewhat unusual, just like the constant brightness and the lack of feeling tired. In a few days, we will reach our ultimate destination - the North Cape.
