From Lauingen to Ottobeuren

The main goal of our tour today was Ottobeuren. However, a significant deterioration in weather was forecasted, so we couldn't estimate how well we would progress. We were able to ride the first 10km directly along the Danube, on top of the dike. Since the official Danube bike path has a different route, we were all alone here. At the level of the Gundremmingen nuclear power plant, we said goodbye to the Danube and turned south. Unfortunately, the weather forecast was correct, it kept getting cloudier and there was an unpleasant west wind. The tour then took us a long way on the Kammlachtal bike path, which we ultimately left in the western direction for our only mountain test of the day, and we had to face headwinds as well. In addition, light rain set in. Thank God it was only temporary, so we finally made it to Ottobeuren via the Günztal railway bike path.
